I did a little pollen dabbing, hoping these are going to have seeds. What do you think?

Yes, I do realize but I had to see if I could do it. Never know what you may get out of a cross!!

Cat--if the seed pod points skyward-upward as in the one in your last photo, it usually means you'll have seed. Thumbs up Asiatics and Trumpet type lilies are good choices for beginning hybridizers. You are about to discover a totally new experience with lilies! Smiling

I love that stage of a pod's development when it starts to swell and you can feel optimistic about babies nodding

I swapped pollen between Lily (Lilium Lily Looks™ Tiny Padhye) and Lily (Lilium 'Tiny Spider')
and swapped between two different color of orange NOID's I have.

I have an L. duchartrei and L. Pumilum seed pod turned skyward. Didn't pollinate the pumilum so it will be apomictic seed. I did try crossing both of these species with my sunny morning martagon. Not expecting anything but you never know.

Well I was just really experimenting. I just wanted to see if I could get them pollinated at the right time. Confused I hope it is my work. I covered them with foil afterwards until the petals fell off. A bee could have beat me to it though. Glare These are my first tries at pollinating lilies.

Yes, you are right Anthony. I am excited just to be able to get seeds at this point. Could kick my self for the years I have had them growing and didn't even know to try cross pollinating them. Shrug!
