Though it seems to be a bitone (lighter sepals) and the photos in the DB appear to show selfs (same color between petals and sepals), Betsy, it is still possible that it is Pink Lavender Appeal.
I've had some cultivars that show bitone qualities when none are mentioned or photographed, and after posting, see others show up with it too.
Since PLA is a 1976 cultivar, that pre-dates most notations about bitone color, so many listings don't spell out in the description that a cultivar is bitone, even though they may well have that characteristic. You can also try testing out if it is a dormant (my dormants die back even in 9b winters), and could dab some dip and tet pollen on it to see which might form pods. And, getting a general scape height and flower width helps, too.
Whatever it is, it is very elegant!
