Can I cross asiatic lilies and oriental lilies.
I have tried researching it but all I get is Oriental Lilies X Trumpet Lilies.
If you would have a mind at peace, a heart that cannot harden, go find a door that opens wide upon a lovely garden.

The short answer is yes........BUT you would almost certainly have to use embryo rescue.

Through embryonic rescue, this has been done. There are OA lilies on the market, they have mostly asiatic traits.

I recommend 'Chengdu' from B&D lilies. It's an OA cross that has a nice oriental quality to it and is pod fertile at least. I crossed an asiatic to it last year and have seedlings going right now. That said, at most my hybrid would be 25% oriental.
