Alison, your plectranthus is very beautiful but I don't think it is the same as the one pictured at Longwood Gardens. The flower and the leaf, from what I can see, look different. I do love the purple color though. It glows.

I agree with you.. wrong color & leaf size... there are quite a few plectranthus.. could be the grower was confused.. either way I love it.. actually all that I bought this year grew wonderfully.. and my neighbor gave me back a piece of a white flowering purple bottom leaf one that I gave her 2 years ago.. so I now have a pretty big collection.. including my fav .. mona lavender

will def. try to put a piece in the ground next year to see how it grows.. so easy from cuttings as well .. think every piece I stuck rooted ... can't beat that

A little harder than coleus though. I haven't had luck with rooting them yet.
