Looking for a true orange iris that blooms well and does not need staked.

My favorite is Orange Harvest. There are lots of pics of it on the Database. Sorry I can't post a link for you from this tablet.

It stands up well and is readily available too.

The only true orange I have is 'Edgefield Glow'. I haven't had to stake it, but really have very few in the garden that do... but we probably have drier springs than most of the country.

Brillilance is one of the nicest oranges around, very ruffly and nice color. Holds up well, bloom lasts a long time. These aren't the best pictures, many better ones in the data base. My camera tends to make it look more yellow for some reason. Orange harvest is a nice one too, but an older model, and is very tall, tends to fall down here. Good luck.

I like Oasis Gretchen. It is about 35 inches tall and seems to take the spring storms ok. It is a ruffled orange that is mellow and lovely.... slightly fragrant too if that makes a difference. Reliable bloomer in zone 7a..... even in a little shade.

My vote would go for Savannah Sunset. It's a gorgeous shade of orange with an awesome beard. Vigorous, and loves to bloom. I've never had to stake it.
