Sweet Autumn Clematis is an introduced vine that is naturalized thought the eastern half of the U.S. and California. Very showy and fragrant.

What a coincidence! This plant is the #1 most active vine/climber in our database!

I love the banner! I have thought about getting Sweet Autumn Clematis, but someone said it can be very invasive. I don't know where I would put something that I could let roam like that. I would want to let it get large like some of the pictures I've seen and it just wouldn't seem right to keep it small. Is it possible?

I have been trying to get rid of this for 20 years.
The native alternative for this plant is American Virgin's Bower (Clematis virginiana).
