101 so far and breezy. Our Dew points and the bit of humidity from last week have dropped. Bone dry and our summer monsoons are no where to be seen. We have had exactly a half inch of rain at our house since January 1. That half inch came all at once on March 1.

Thankfully we got rain yesterday afternoon. I was goingto do a rain dance it was getting so dry. Good time too transplant the rest of my coleus babies that I forgot about.

Pouring rain all day long. Just what we needed. The lilies will be happy. Temps around 69 degrees. More rain tomorrow with thundershowers. Weekend will be clear, sunny, and high 70's for temps. Sounds ideal.

Sunny here today and a lot cooler, only about 75 right now. Alex, you got the weather we had here yesterday.

Alex, you got an extra bed up there? I am just on my last nerve -- sick and tired of all this humidity. The heat isn't unbearable, 80-90 degrees, but with 80 and 90% humidity, it's pretty nasty. And so am I when I'm out in the middle of it trying to weed. Nasty.

When and if our rains get here Sharon I dread that humidity as well. I sweat on my face so badly I have trouble seeing. . I feel for you that is NO fun. Just drains you.

Limp. Just leaves me limp.

A break from the weeding with the rain today. Paying bills, running errands and house cleaning....how does the house get so dirty when I am outside in the garden all day?

It's already been a long, hot summer, Char -- all 4 or 5 days of it.
Been awhile since I climbed a mountain, too. Chances are I might just want to stay.

I have a dog training friend who lives in the desert. He calls me late at night - and it's still 95 outside. Supposed to call late tonight, actually. Amazing that wildlife can live in such environments as that - and yet also live in places like Siberia. Well, maybe not the same wildlife, but still that anything lives at such extremes.

We had rain again last night. Daylilies are loving it. Monarda looks good now - starting to bloom - but I bet the mildew and leaf diseases are right around the corner…
