Sorry. I've never had that happen to any of my clem's so I doubt it's caused by rain but anything is possible.

Hopefully, someone who does know what causes it will post here.

It is a beautiful bloom! What is the name of it?

sorry I don't know , it was in a garden I was touring.
Just never saw anything like this and was curious.
It was just on one leaf.
