Just wondering if this is 'Carole Mackie' because I can see no variegation on the leaves?

@HamiltonSquare and @ge1836 and @zuzu - Daphne cneorum is also called Rock Daphne (or Rose Daphne), but is often a rockery shrub, between 10 to 12 inches in height. What is shown here would appear to be the taller February Daphne (Daphne mezereum) which has pink blossoms and red berries. If it were the White February Daphne (Daphne mezereum 'Alba') it would have yellow seeds. A quick check to the database would provide pictures that might explain the differences. Hope I haven't stepped on any toes. Whistling

Whoops! I was just checking on the photos I had put in the database for the above mentioned Daphne mezereums, and found in the pink mezereum entry, three that don't look as though they belong - those purple leaved ones. A trip to Google images for Daphnes netted a corresponding photo for a Daphne x houtteana. Hurray! This plant has year round purplish leaves and is grown in Zones 6a to 9b. It is a cross between Daphne laureola and Daphne mezereum. Hooray! Found it. So I put that into the search bar, and came up with Hilarious! Daphne mezereum. Then I noticed that it is supposed to be synonymous with D. mezereum! Oh well, you can't second guess the experts??!!?? *Blush*

Never really looked at where it was move to....but I agree with you Nora that it isn't in the right species yet. Your second point should be restated under the other species photo. It's worth asking about the big difference in the foliage coloration. It is curious. It may just be cultural differences but seeing the flowers might help too. I tip my hat to you.
