Patty's plant does not look right to me. It should never show more than a blush of pink. It is similar to 'Lilac Time' but more silver-colored.

Yep, my real Silverine had become covered with leaves from another plant and a neighbor semp had grown towards my marker, leading to the mis-ID. I pulled the correct semp out...it still has pearlite around the roots confirming a nursery plant...and put it and the chicks in a pot to recuperate. Thanks Kevin! I love having a pro on-site!!! Hurray!

It can turn a bit like Lynn's photo in winter but most of the rest of these photos seem WAY WRONG to me. I have had silverine for 30 yrs and never seen some of these colors or shapes.. bright turquois blue?????really?????

Growing conditions make a huge difference. I've seen some of Julia's semps and said "mine doesn't look like that!!!" But in every case when I took one home and planted it next to mine they eventually looked the same.

Then there's the difference in cameras, time of day pic was taken, monitors, etc. Sometimes it's obvious there's inaccuracy, but not always.
