A Cold Snap Stops Everything for a Week

By NEILMUIR1

Everybody seemed happy in the sun. Instead of looking down at the ground on their way to work, people held their heads high and were stopping to look at the wonderful spring flowers. Then it became overcast and the rain started; cold days and very cold nights set in for a week. On Monday morning we all awoke to clear blue skies; the sun came out, and everything was suddenly happy once again.

"ealous" in a "good way"...what gorgeous flowers you have!!!! Wonderful and informative article too. Thank you.

Still "jealous" though. I couldn't pick a favorite bloom!

Dear Becky, thank you very much for your kind words. I am most sure you do a lot better than I can do, I just try in my own way! You also did not have to suffer hundreds of cups of tea every time I wanted a picture. The British cure to any known thing, offer someone a cup of tea and a piece of cake, even if they are unconscious!
Kindest Regards.
Neil.
p.s. a picture just for you, not on the Article.

Neil, Thanks for the pretty tree!
LOL about the tea!

Here is some purslane for you! It is a summer grower here...loves the heat.

Very nice indeed! The tree is a Magnolia, they are everywhere at the moment, although the cold snap kept the flowers back. Then the sun brought the leaves out, as normally they flower on bare branches!
Kindest Regards.
Neil.p,s, another one for you. A wallflower growing out of some rubble!

My favorite color, Neil! That is so pretty too.

This is a desert wild flower but I don't know the name. I took this photo on a recent hike up into our mountains.
