Dear Lynn, thank you for your very kind comments, much appreciated! One of the members asked if I could put a scratch and sniff post on, unfortunately we do not have the technology yet, though we could ask Dave he can fix most things! For I am most sure that you would enjoy the smell of my Clematis as well as the sight.
My wife is not too happy with the Clematis as; she cannot smell anything at all, it has taken over the washing line and made an arch, plus I will not let her touch it till it has finished flowering, and filling the area with wondrous scent! Here is a picture that is not on the Article for you. It shows the Clematis going along the wall and the arch with my compost bin behind it. Going backwards from the picture it has taken over the rest of the wall, the Japanese Arbor and gone into next doors garden. It is a good job they like it!
