I did have a couple blooms on a seedling I selected and lined out last year. Last year it was 41" tall with a 4-5" bloom. Out of "Frequent Flyer" and as I remember it rebloomed.

Thanks Dormantsrule. It has good bud count and I have tried pollen on it and it seems to be fertile, so we'll see what we can make from this lovely one.

Cindy - Skinwalker is making a great parent for some of your seedlings! Congrats!

Thanks Becky. The only thing is I'm not getting the bud count I want. I like at least 15 minimum and most of my Skinwalker seedlings have 10 to 12.

Cindy - Well, that is better than 3-6 I got on many of mine for first year blooms. How would you cross it again to get a higher bud count?

Becky, I would try and cross it with a plant with a higher bud count and hope I got a similar looking flower.

Ed, I love that second seeding C-93-a from Border Music. I just gave BM away to a friend of mine because the blooms just never seemed to want to open completely. It made space for a different daylily, but now am kind of regretting giving all of it away. Maybe I should have kept a fan!

Lyle, that is a very interesting color on the Jeff Corbett seedling. Gotta love those gorgeous ruffles

Cindy your Skinwalker seedlings should have more bud count as they get older, most of the pod parents have decent bud counts.

This is a three year old that was in a clump, it is also a bud builder, with a long bloom season. I divided it a couple weeks ago and may have enough to register in the fall.
