I was given this tomato at our Master G. sale in May when I was telling a MG about my search for a cherry tomato that would work in our area; she said to try this one - Texas wild. I had grown the sweet 100's and Matt's wild cherry but for the last few years, both didn't do well.

Today it is over 6 ft. and producing small tart tomatoes. I googled it looking for info on these and found quite a bit of information: hardy, easy care, prolific, drough-tolerant, etc.

Who else is growing these? They are a little tart for me; would have liked a sweeter taste but they are still very good.

I'd never heard of this variety before today. Looks like a nice variety to try.

We grew Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Amy's Sugar Gem') this year and loved it. It's been my favorite small salad tomato, just slightly larger than a cherry with fine flavor. Extremely productive large vines.

Alas I can't save seed from this one this year. It's in my trial garden where I'm growing multiple varieties in the same area. This means I can't ensure seed purity. I plan to grow it again next year in an isolated place to ensure seed purity.

My tomatoes have been better than usual this year. Maybe a combination of weather, more watering ,more compost and placing them closer together. I will look for that variety. Where did you buy the seed Dave?
