Way way way back in the day there was a yearly round up at Lake Texoma - well attended and a rather large and multi state gathering.

I am wondering if there is any interest is try one out again and seeing what we can do - maybe Spring 2012? Any ideas? Anyone interested? Any volunteers? I dont mind working on this but a big round up takes a team!

So what do we think?

I think March is safe because of not much activity at that time, but it can be cold.

I will be doing an internship in the spring and will be working major overtime until at least April 15th, but if it ends up in May, I should be able to pull it off. My plants really need to be thinned out. And any baby plants that I pot end up languishing in pots (or dying) because I have not been to any roundups.

sweezel - how does early May look for you then? Cinco De Mayo Round Up anyone? We want everyone there we can!

TweedleLeeDee - I think we have meet before - many moons back... feels like it at least! If you made it to the Arlington Swaps - or the Red Oak Meet Up or the Waxahachie huge Roundup we had there then yes we have meet up. I have not been able to make it in about... 4 years myself.

Gee..., It's hard to pin down a date so far in advance. I know I can't go the last weekend of March. That's our botanical garden festival...and we all volunteer.

I know but at the same time - to reserve a place at the lake area we are going to have to pin something down for sure.

Don't change it on account of me! Then if something came up, I would feel terrible. May is much better for me. If it ends up being better for others too, that is great! Smiling

May 5 would normally better for us, but if it does not rain soon, we will be selling our cows and won't be on call during calving season next March. So pick a date, and we will do our best to be there.
