This is a very interesting plant Myriam. Have you ever grown it in a sunnier location? If so did the leaves remain cupped? Did the petioles become red? I'm only familiar with three varieties that have significantly cup shaped leaves; 'Big Dipper', 'Coffee Cups' and 'Bikini-Tini'.

No I haven't tried it in a sunnier location Evan. My garden is entirely enclosed (a small town garden) and the more sunny spots are all occupied. I only have full sun on my balcony!
The huge tuber, I bought in a Thai grocery shop in town last year. I still have the plant, though it is smaller as the tuber had suffered in its winter storage, I was away in Brazil to take properly care of my overwintering plants Rolling my eyes.

It's a lovely form and I hope it's enjoying summer.
