I thought this might be lythrum, but not seeing any sign of flowers. It is abut 3 feet high

Well, it's not Lythrum. Is it woody or herbaceous (i.e. stems not woody, may die to the ground in winter or other seasons)?

This is the first season I have seen it, the stems are herbaeous

Well. If it is not lythrum which I thought I might have planted, I think I am going to pull it out

I'd sure pull it out if it was purple loosestrife... but that, I'd hang on to for a while to figure out what it is!

I know it is very invasive, atleast in the north. Not sold in any nurseries here.
