It's possible. I dumped a bulb I thought was rotten, possibly in this area.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like it could be a Dahlia. Do you know the name of the bulb you dumped?

It would be Kelvin Floodlight.

It has been warm here so flower buds have begun to appear. I'm not sure that is how dahlia flowers hang.

The photo isn't clear to me but I'm not sure they do either. Perhaps someone else has a suggestion.

The last photo seems to show young fruits of something like Capsicum or Aubergine, but the leaves don't look right for either.

Have you some other similar type vegetable it could be?

No ... from time to time seed planting experiments have gone awry and I usually dump them in the garden. No vegetables there that I recollect.

Sorry for the quality of the photo. I'll take another one next time I'm home during the day and the lighting is a bit better.

Maybe Tomatillo or another similar-looking member of the nightshade family (Solanaceae)?

I'm thinking the same thing Danita, something in the family Solanaceae.

Physalis ..

Oooh! I had tomatillos last year. That's it. They've self seeded.

Thank you. I guess I shall have tomatillos to eat this year after all.

Only if you have two. Tomatillos require 2 plants in order to pollinate. I hope you have 2.

Actually I do. There is a much smaller one with flowers about 2 feet away in amongst the gladiolas. An interesting combination.

This plant's parent was only a foot or two high at most.
