In Winchester Part I, I wrote about the city center. Now we go past the city walls and into the water meadows and other interesting places along the way! I hope you enjoy it as much as Part I.

All those pictures brought back happy memories of the weekends we used to drive down to Winchester to see Neil at college and stop at Stockbridge on the way home to buy trout and local produce in the village shops there. I seems such a long time ago, time flies.
I do hope you enjoy these as much as I have making them.
Eileen.

Hi Cherie, those memories are very sweet, we could visit Neil at college and when he was down at Bovingdon(Tank Rgt HQ) but Ian his elder brother was in Germany, Canada and mostly in Northern Ireland and that was very difficult as you could turn the radio on and hear "another soldier was killed in NI today " and might heart woulld drop till I heard from him. I didn;t worry so much when he was in the Falkalnds. But now they are both near, Neil within walking distance and Ian ten minutes away by car. So we are all in close touch which is very important to me and I speak to them both every day.
I do hope you enjoy these as much as I have making them.

I am finding it very hard to let go and let my kids live their own lives. They are all adults now and don't depend on me for everything. Its making me very sad sometimes..........

DEAR CHERIE, I agree its difficult to let your kids go, but my mother used to say if you want your children to stay near give them a long string!! Not five minutes ago my eldest son popped in and said "HI was on my way homeand I spotted this little black cat in a shop window so I bought it for your collection!! It is a very heavy depiction of an upright cat about four inches high and so sweet. I reckonI'm lucky that they both think of me even when working. Neil came yesterday and gave Richard his lunch whilst I was atthe hospital.
Hope your family is near enough to pop in. Best wishes .
I do hope you enjoy these as much as I have making them.

Eileen oh yes 3 of my 4 are very close, they live with us and the granddaughter. My eldest son lives some 40 miles away but works in town here and stops by 3, 4, times a week to eat some of Mom's cooking. The kid always the very first thing he does when he walks in the door is say HI mom (as he is walking to the refrigerator) is there any left overs for me to eat? Always. Then he goes home and Alyssa had dinner ready for him............Hollow leg that one.

I know this winter my eldest daughter will take the granddaughter and move to their own place. I know my youngest son will eventually graduate college and move on but then there is the youngest daughter, she will be here FOREVER! Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes. What can I say.

I just can't stop giving them needless advice and I want them to let me know where they are, with whom and when they will be home. Ed tells me to let go, but they still live in my house, they still get rest of what goes with it.
