Can anyone identify this flower for me. It is yellow with a protruding brown center. It is in my wildflower area and has other flowers around it like a young lupine. I would like to know the name of this yellow flower.
Thank you,
Jeanne from gardenglassgems

This looks like what you have: Naked Mexican Hat or one of the native Ratbidas

Thank you Elaine. That is exactly what I have. I am so happy to know the name of it. I can now do some research and learn more about it. I was thrilled to see a new flower in my flower bed.
Thanks again.

There are different types as well, have a look at these if you are growing them.
