When we decided to replace the fountain in our sunroom, we thought of another use.

I have a small one and I might just try this. The sedum hanging over the edges looks great. Thanks for the idea.
I garden for the pollinators.

Jean, what a wonderful fountain planter! I too love the reuse, recycle idea ... especially with something as nice as that fountain! I once used an old cracked birdbath for a planter and plan on doing so again with one I'll be bringing from our rental property this week after the tenants are completely moved out!

Thanks so much for all the acorns, thumbs, and nice comments. I was somewhat amused when two of our boys came to help out when DH was in the hospital and they looked in one of cabinets and saw a sugar dispenser their father had brought home from a trip to Houston. That prompted them to do more digging to find other things that were familiar from their childhood. Their comment usually was, "Yep, they've still got it!"

Your old fountain is beautiful it has that old world look like something from Europe. What a great repurpose it would have been a shame let it go to waste.

Thank You! Betty. One nice thing about the fountain is that I can see it from every window on the back of the house as well as the sunroom.

Clever idea! And the sedum looks like water flowing over the edges. Something with a blue blossom or tint would look even
more so. I like it!

Thanks so much everyone. @Hemophobic You are right, something blue or blue blooms would look fantastic.
