It's raining here! We are forecast to have rain tonight and then all day tomorrow.

Crossing my fingers and spitting on the cat that we get more than a quarter inch out of this system!

(Not really about spitting on the cat, I just made that up cause it's late in my brain and I'm a bit too punchy to be trusted posting.)

Rolling my eyes.

Yes, well, sometimes just crossing the fingers isn't strong enough juju! Apparently...

Hilarious!

Well, first thing I thought of was Ortho (isn't there a spray for bugs of some sort called Ortho) well, I read on about the shreded ligaments and thought "what the heck does an exterminator know about torn ligaments"...it all happened in a few seconds, when I realized you meant your orthopedist ......I sat here and almost choked on my coffee What a fun way to start the day. Same here. Less than an eighth inch with a Japanese beetle taking up some of that space, even. Hilarious!

I still hope by tomorrow morning we'll have had a good soak. Keeps raining off and on just a teeny bit.

Back from the dermatologist and got all the outside things finished before the rains begin. We were to have rain this morning but it must have slowed down because we have not had it yet and it is nearly 2 P.M. I do hope we get it because we do need it.

It ended up raining a good part of the day while I was at work! I came home to find my bird bath full and other indicators that maybe we got a decent accumulation. Hope others got some rain, too!

We had nearly 2 inches since yesterday. Sun came out around 3 p.m. and it looks like the clearing is here to stay for a few days.

No rain. We had several days when it was forecast at 80 and 90% chance, and nada. One day we did get about an eighth of an inch. Now we're not likely to have any until Friday night. Another 90 percenter. Used to be that was about as good as certain but lately I think it just must be raining all around us but not here!

Anyway, I spent most of the day moving the sprinkler around. I watered enough that none of the beds should need any for at least a few days. The soil here doesn't hold as much moisture as I think it should, or it could go longer.

Are people feeling cooler temps? It's been a pretty cool summer from what I understand (and I am grateful for that!) but it's about the same now as it was a month ago.

Mostly a very nice summer here. Not as hot and as humid as we normally get. I love it.

It rained today while I was at work. Not sure how much but at least the plants got a drink.

Kyla, I think you guys must really be having a drier than normal summer! :-(

Rita, in recent weeks we've been cooler and less humid than usual, too. It is nice! Smiling

I dragged all of my pots out from under the awning yesterday afternoon when I saw the rain clouds forming. It rained a bit, but only enough to wet the top layer of soil. I had to drag my pots back AND water anyway.... annoying. I guess I should be grateful that at least the pots weren't heavy since they were SO embarrassingly dry!

I'm longing for a good soaking thunderstorm, preferably Friday night just after the kids go to sleep so that I can sit out on my porch with my husband and my neighbors, and we can all sip mixed drinks and relax! *sigh*

Yes, please! to the good soaking rain Friday night (if not sooner, I am way past being choosy.)

We got maybe a sixteenth of an inch last night -- enough to show in the bottom of the rain guage but that's it.

I watered everything really well yesterday, so that's done for a few days at least.

We've had a little rain for a few days up until the 25th. This meant that I didn't need to spend all that time watering while I was trying to get ready for my annual get together here. Now I'm back to watering. However, I have lots of clean up to do so I'm using the oscillating sprinklers on the hose instead of hand watering at the roots. Not good for my roses and others but I'll do it early enough so that the leaves dry before night time.
