This is a Meyer lemon, so sugar is less needed. Will be. Will be less needed.

No, I am not familiar with it! Sounds like something I should stay away from though lest I invite temptation... Green Grin!

It is held in Timonium, Maryland here is a link to "last" years info just so you can get an idea of the show.
http://marylandorchids.org/ann...
There is also a home and garden show and craft show going on in different buildings of the fairgrounds at the same time. It's a fun way to spend the day. There are several other Orchids in the GH that will be blooming soon.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
JB--

I have taken pictures of all my beautiful blooming Holiday cactus. Don't fret! I will post them all soon.
I took a distance shot--and a close-up of each kind that bloomed. Now they are done and will rest.
I will have to take a bunch of cuttings as their stems have grown a bit long. Especially the
white, yellow, and the salmon ones. I SOOOO don't want to be be propagating any more!!!
I want to be do DONE with all that--but I cannot just throw the cuttings away!

Are YOU still interested in receiving any? Or--I think you said, you are no longer selling the CC's.
How is your Spider Plant supply? Need more?

All the food stuff and chopping and dicing for our HD ThanksgivingDinner took an immense
amount of time. I brought 3 dishes. Sausage stuffing---Sweet and Savory Kale---and my VERY good
Cranberry sauce. Lotsa work! Lotsa work!!!

Then--I took a couple of the Turkey carcases home and spent 2 days cleaning and browning them
as well as removing every sliver of meat from them for the soup I was going to make.
Did so much soup--I had to split it up between 2 pots. BIG pots!
Took the biggest one in yesterday (Saturday) for all the Associated to enjoy.
Taking another, smaller pot in tomorrow. Geesh! I have never chopped and diced and sliced as much
and as long as I have with all this food. BUT--I LOVE doing it!!!
Gives my BIG, Generous Heart a warm feeling all over.

Hope you are well--I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will be going over to mt DD's and her DH's.

This is what my house looks like all winter.....a bit ridiculous--but I have to do this every year.
I brought my beautiful Tropical Hibiscus inside--and it now resides under the big hanging light
I had over the table of my AV's. As of today--it has 19 bloom buds on it. They are slowly opening.

Stay well and stay warm--and don't overdo it! Hugs! Gita ♥ ♥ ♥

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
Roses---Thank you for your kind words.

Since I seldom add anything new to my plant collection, come winter, I know where
everything goes....give or take.....and when I have to put them all outside---same thing.

I am pretty organized---but still get stressed when I have too many plants that just are not
"paying for their keep"....like my 55 AV's I started out with all crowded on that card table
in the corner of my DR. I gave a bunch away, and several just gave up the ghost.
None of them have bloomed for 4 years. I think I should get the message that I just DO NOT have
the right light for them and give it up.

The only thing now, under the same hanging light, is my beautiful Tropical Hibiscus that is blooming away.
It IS yellowing and dropping a lot of leaves--but I think that is normal when you bring it inside.

19 bloom buds on top. Can't wait to see them all open.

Advice, please!
When they all are bloomed out--should I cut the plant back then--or wait until spring?
I imagine it would appreciate some dormancy time. Yes??? No????
This is the first time I am growing a Tropical Hibiscus.

Thanks, Gita

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
Holly--
Your new Orchid looks so different to the ones we all know...SO dainty!
Believe it or not--I have NEVER grown an Orchid. Just not interested...

I have NO place for such tender Tropicals. YES! I know they are easy to grow--
but I do not wan to add any new plants to my collection.

My one Clivia has bloomed (still is) in my Shop now for 2-3 weeks.
It is cool down there (58*)--but I do not always remember to turn the shop lights on.
I thought they were going to be dormant by now?????

I just hang in--with whatever the plants decide to do. Gita

Hi @gitagal, it has been awhile since I spoke to you and I am seldom on here anymore. Christmas Time on the farm is our busy time as you know. I did stop here to see who was on and what a nice surprise to see you. I have something to show you. Here is the greenhouse jungle....I have so many I just must downsize. The second picture is your beautiful red.
Thumb of 2014-12-06/JB/7b42f0

Gita's Red has so many buds and it is just beautiful. Thank you again. You sent me so many cuttings of it I put them all in one pot and this is the result of that. Your pink has not done as well. Not sure why.
Thumb of 2014-12-06/JB/329983

I have closed my Cubits, Etsy and eBay stores for good. I am no longer going to sell as a business. Too much work and I am not making enough profit to put forth any more effort. People do not want to pay the price it costs to grow the darn things and I can sell the cuttings but I am not sure if I want to do that. I may keep my favorites and the rest must go.
I want to propagate the different spider species I purchased last year. Soon they will be grown enough to produce babies and I need more room in the greenhouse to do that. I have at least 12 different varieties now. Your babies are doing well and I just love Bonnie...she and the Hawaiian and Shamrock are my favorites this month. Lovey dubby I love them all and they are much easier to raise and propagate than the Christmas Cactus. They grow faster also. It was nice talking to you my friend. Have a great Holiday season and stay well. Group hug If you want me please email me because I do check the email daily.

JB--You deserve a rest! At your age--it is amazing you do all you do!!!

I will e-mail you if I need to chat. I DID want to show you all my pretty CC's blooming.
Should I do it here--or with an e-mail.

Happy Holidays to you, old friend!!!

My true Christmas Cactus in bloom. I got it from "Birder" about 3 years ago
as4 small cuttings. They are still in the little 4" oval pot I potted them in.
Amazing blooms! Beautiful fuchsia color. They are lasting so long!
Note that the "leaves" on this one are smooth--and pendulous and hang straight down.

Will pot them up to a bigger container when it is done blooming.
