We recently obtained a new Husky puppy. We had to travel about 125 mi to get him. We turned the trip into an expedition w/ selected side trips to collect fossils and photograph wildflowers. The 125 mi turned into 204 mi (one way) but it was so enjoyable. The pup especially.
1st stop was an abandoned quarry:

What a wonderful expedition J! What fun & at the end, you got your Plato. I can't imagine a more enjoyable trip. Fabulously beautiful photos J. If the vine in the photo of the sumac is the same as what's covering the cliff face, it's Virginia Creeper.
