I laughed my rear-end off at your whole ordeal today! What a Birthday! You are too funny!

I, too, have a small car, but I can load if full just like you did yours! A serious gardener KNOWS how to pack a vehicle with garden goodies! Thumbs up

Glad you had a terrific day finding such great sale items! And Jack looks pretty darn happy, too! I bet he is excited to play with his new toys!

Wait a minute .... whose birthday is this anyway .... yours or Jack's???? Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Happy Birthday, Greene!

Gifts are a very personal thing.
The gift should be selected with care and should fit the recipient.

Someone once knew me well enough to give me the perfect gift - a truck load of horse manure.

He drove me to a farm, backed the truck up to the manure pile, handed me a shovel and said,
"Knock yourself out."

That was actually my Mothers' Day gift, but it's the thought that counts.
Manure. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

A TRUCK load of manure! Oh wow! I'd be pretty happy with such a gift, too!!! Thumbs up I always ask for gift cards from Home Depot for garden supplies. My family knows me well. Not jewelry or a vase of flowers. LOL! Candy though is another story. (My sugar addiction overrides all other gifts ... unfortunately. Sad But I am trying to get off the stuff .... again. )

A couple years ago, one of my co-workers invited me to follow her (in my vehicle) to a farm (she knows the owners). I had brought along three 5 gallon buckets and filled them all up with donkey manure. Boy! Was I ever happy! Wished I could go there on a regular basis.

Instead, I got some advice here on ATP to use horse alfalfa pellets. No additives in the pellets, just pure alfalfa. I have seen a HUGE difference in my plants this year. I bought a 40 lb. bag which I've still got half the bag left since last Fall. I also use it to make alfalfa tea and add epsom salt, coffee grinds, and fish emulsion. Then dilute it with water. My plants just love that kind of tea! It's pretty amazing to see the difference in plant foliage and number of plant blooms! You should try it!
