That plant is about 6 years old. The picture doesn't even show the whole plant. Goehringii is different from most dyckia species where the offsets are on small stolons and as time goes on, there is a ring of offsets all around the main plant. I have one in a 7 gallon pot that has 14 smaller plants all the way around the mother plant. I usually take these off to make more for sale (I have about 60 of these) but I have a few of my favorites that I just leave all the offset plants on, just for looking at. I love super spiny plants, but this one I have to weed with some long handle needle nose pliers. Luckily, the plant is so thick that it rarely gets weeds.
