Probably not a good choice of words, but with a background in health science, well the term kind of fit. Whistling

Haha, thanks guys. I was just wondering if plumerias of such a small size have the capacity to bloom but I guess that's always a possibility it seems like

I wish I had ordered more! As you can see, one is a Singapore White Dwarf so hopefully it keeps growing year round...

And yes, those are detachable plates. I will make sure to be attentive to dump out any water that flows through then. Thanks for the reminder!

Rolling on the floor laughing Ken you are too funny. Last time I counted I have 20 "constipated" varieties (partly my fault for not repotting and feeding this year and 5 irregulars. Rolling on the floor laughing

I am on several "Plumeria" sites and the number one complaint I see is the fact that their plumeria don't bloom. One nice lady just posted that after five years (this was a rooted plant according to her, not a seeding) she sees her first inflorescence. That's not unusual though. Lots of these plumeria growers say the same thing, over, and over, and........ Most of these plumeria mentioned seem to be newer hybrids, most without PSA registered names, and they are the eye-popping candy colors. I just wonder if these new hybrids bloom more slowly than those plumeria that have been around for several decades and are PSA registered.

Come on, Hetty. Give us the scoop on these slow-to-bloom plants. I don't have a clue. Sticking tongue out

I don't think it is 'new hybrids' per se, but many plants that are imported from (for instance) Thailand, are forced there, and will need a catch-up period once they are here.
Then there is the simple fact that some Plumeria are just better bloomers than others.

That makes sense. I explain to people all the time that purchasing their (forced) orchids from big box stores, often results in hard-to-grow plants. I never even thought about plumeria being forced. It is too bad that one can't/won't know what plumeria varieties bloom well and what don't. Like orchid growers, I would imagine few grow plumeria for its foliage. Whistling
