Not Your Average Gardening Tools

I have a tendency to look at pretty much every sort of tool as a possible garden tool. Over the years I've tried out just about everything, but I have whittled it down to about 9 tools I use consistently.

I too am always looking at ordinary objects as tools. I've used various spoons, chopsticks, and an old big serrated knife I found in the woods that was most likely used by a deer hunter.

I have a few 5 or 6 inch spike nails I use for punching holes in containers, stirring soil, or making holes in soil for cuttings with bigger stems.

I use bamboo skewers for all kinds of things. Opening up smaller seed pods to make sure I got all the seeds out. Sorting small seeds from chaff. Supports for tiny stems.
