Dave,
Am I hallucinating, or was there a time where we could position pictures on the blog page?

Seems you can line them up in a 3-box string, which is fine if they all relate to the text above the pics -- or, they situate to the left on the page with a lot of wasted white space to the right of a single pic.

Is there any way to flow the text around a single pic box, so it uses up all of the available space?

Thanks! I tip my hat to you.

You can do this. When you upload your photos it will insert the "lightbox" tag into your post. Just put all the lightbox tags on the same line and preview and they should appear side by side.

If you want to make the text wrap around the image (like the image is situated to the right and the text on the left) then you use the ="right" attribute to the image. So it would look like this:

[lightbox="right"]path/to/image[/ lightbox]

Give that a try (not in the forums please) and see how you like it.

Sorry, Dave, I got distracted. I meant to come back and tell you "thanks!" I tip my hat to you.

BTW,
Something is happening with the blog pics on previous blog entries. I went into one of my entries, (Fall/Winter...Day #95) to look at the command I had used for positioning a picture on the right side of the page. I went in through the "edit" feature for that post, and viewed the command that was there. Then, I closed out the page.

However, when I scrolled down to view that post again, the picture no longer appears there...

Yes, I'm sorry about that. I completely rewrote the blog feature a few months ago and the past entries are incompatible with the new system. They continue to be viewable but if you edit them, you'll have to watch out and make sure the formatting and images get put in properly. It's kind of a mess trying to edit the posts from before the change was made.

Ok. Is there any way you could put a boolean(?) board in the edit screen, so commands like bold, italics, underline, and some fonts and colors could be easily accessed?

If these already exist, please tell me where they are.

thanks!

The blogs work like the forums now and there's no bar for making things bold. You use bb codes for that instead. Once you use them a few times they'll become like second nature for you. Smiling

I keep the bbcode on my personal menu bar (that blue thing on the left) so it's easy to find.

Actually that was greene's idea, I just posted how to do it and actually added the BBCode one as I thought it was a great idea. My memory is poor so I could use it. Thumbs up

I usually 'Star' things I want to reference and add a label to it so I know why I saved it (when i remember to do that!)
I used to have several links on my side menu bar but they interfered visually on my IPad and phone when scrolling down.
