ATP Podcast #68: Why Don't We Do What We Don't Do?

By dave

Here's a fun topic. We often talk about what we do in the garden and why we do it, but today we're going to turn that around and look at a few common gardening things that a lot of people do, but that we don't do, and we'll talk about why we don't do them.

Okay, I totally understand not using rubber mulch, but it does have a place in some instances, in my opinion. I use it for a narrow area around my house where my beds are because of the termite issues in the south. Otherwise, I would never use the rubber mulch. My plants are set 2'-3' out from the house so the rubber mulch IS NOT where plants are. I guess, sort of like a path...

Possibly I am misinformed about using regular bark mulch up next to the house.
