I like crickets but this does not look friendly.

There are many who have hatched lately and getting bigger. Saw one on the hibiscus but it scooted before I could take its portrait right and proper.

This one was sunning itself on the blue plastic chair.

Know its name? It's maybe an inch long. (Maybe a little less.)

Of course, they're growing. It was an inch when that was taken but the first ones I saw were maybe a quarter inch long. I don't think it has reached mature size yet.

That last one looks closest to what I'm seeing around here so I'll go with
