The Chelsea Flower Show 2011 (Part 3)

By NEILMUIR1
June 14, 2011

Although the first show, The Great Spring Show, goes back to 1862 it was not until 1913 that the show was moved to the Grounds of the Royal Hospital at Chelsea. It immediately took the name of Chelsea, and has been the Chelsea Flower Show ever since. It has always been an international show and with modern transportation anything is now possible at this amazing event. Join me on yet another march around Chelsea.

It just keeps getting better and better, Neil. Thank you for putting your life and limb at risk by lying to get a special picture. You're the best!

I had, notice I said had, a Nepenthes that did very well until last winter. Need I say more. They are not that popular here, but they grow well until Mother Nature gives them a slap in the head.

Thanks again, Neil.

Hugs,

Nancy

Dear Nancy, wait if I can get to Hampton Court Flower show! Although I will probably get run over by a tractor, which will not be the first time! Rolling on the floor laughing
Glad you liked it, that took some work!
I did not even get a picture of the Beer tent, only one of the Ladies Pimms tent!
Love.
Neil.

Dear Nancy, I was fixing it as the mechanics were lazy and useless. The oil seal broke on the jack and it fell over and rolled on me! Took the Fire Men 15 minutes to get the thing off me.
It hurt, believe me! All i remember was the Hospital and then nothing for the next few days!
Nice Nurses though!
Group hug
Neil.
