Tifany I knew that would get your attention. Rolling on the floor laughing

Just wanted to say thank you.

I managed to root a couple pieces of Persian Shield plant like you instructed. But I forgot to water some of the plants after I had them rooted and planted last winter and only one survived.

But I planted it with a bunch of houseplants. I listed the plants in here in the Container forum.

That's pretty, Cinta. Yeah, I'd been dying to get persian shield as well, especially after I kept looking at Purple's. I went to Lowes and they had one in a gallon pot that I was about to buy for $6. I turned around and looked at the table behind me and they had a slightly smaller pot with 4 plants for $4.95. Guess which pot I bought? Green Grin!

Yep I knew if you saw purple it would get your attention. You and I both love purple plants so much. I love any plant that has purple leaves. I like the combo of Purple and pink too.

The Persian shield did not show up in any of the nurseries around my area. I am so happy you told me they root easy in water. I would not have had it this year if I had not rooted a piece from last year. It really looks good if you can keep it alive for a couple of years.

Thank you Debbie, Christine. I love colorful foliage plants especially in my summer pots because flowers are fleeting.

Debbie Lowes is where I purchased PS last year. This year know one had the plant. That is why I was happy Tiffany told me it was easy to root. As I said above if you can winter it indoor for a couple of year it looks prettier the older the plant.

Thanks, Cinta. I will try to overwinter at least one of the plants. I will take several cuttings and share them with my friends, so they can have plants also.
