Lady's Mantle taken after the rain stopped this morning.

My Abelia next to the garage, I planted by the corner of the house.......... been there three years and it has never bloomed but it now has flower buds for the first time............

Here is what happens to a Pieris after the bright red spring display. It goes yellow then to this cream before finally going to green. What a lovely plant!

Oh mine have buds Neil but no where near opening and with it getting down to 37 tonight and 32 on Saturday night I really really hope they don't get nipped.

A beautiful plant in the front garden. Lily of the Valley or Convallaria majalis, this native plant used to be common in our woodlands, but unfortunately like Bluebells was stolen from the wild.
It has an enchanting scent for such a small plant, in fact exquisite is the word. I took this picture today and it even has a spiders web on it, no spider just a caught moth!
The smell of all of them at the moment is sensational, and people have stopped to see where this incredible scent is coming from, not realizing this little plant is doing it!

Dear All, Richard the most kind man at Kew has put a lot more pictures on today. Lucy take note please, he has been out Iris hunting for you and you are mentioned! Lots of Peonies and other wonders!
Although on his last plant with a medicinal message, Richard has put "No Comment," on the message. I do not understand the Medicinal bit can you wise women help out?
