Paul Hannemann, chief regional fire coordinator for the Texas Forest Service said about wildfires in today's S.A. paper:
"My concern right now is the Hill Country, the area northwest of San Antonio through Canyon lake on to Austin is our next potential problem area. That country is prime."
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
Linda, I finally remembered to take a pic of the Dwarf Cherry Barbados and the BOP between the driveway and the sidewalk...and my newest tenant surprised me.....I chased him down the hill to snap his pic in my neighbor's yard. We've never had rabbits up here. The drought is forcing all kinds of critters out of the woods. I thought I still had a few berries left, but they're all gone. We have to constantly trim the cherry as it wants to grow out over the driveway. Too much sun for good photo, will be better in fall...
