The database lists this as a tetraploid. Is that correct? The plant is a result of Square Dancer's Curtsy x Heavenly Angel Ice. That would seem to indicate a diploid result. Unless it's been converted. Are any daylilies converted BEFORE they are introduced? Or, in this case, if both parents were converted before the seedling was produced, does the database have a place to make a notation? Just curious.

If you don't get a reply here, there is a place in the data base to "edit data details", It is down near the bottom in the large block of edit choices.So you might purpose that it be changed to a diploid. That should at least get a review of the data.

I suspect that there was a slight error.

The hybridizer has registered 25 daylilies. Of those one was registered as diploid -
Juste Pour Nathalie (Forget, 2009) height 24in (61cm), bloom 6in (15.0cm), season M, Rebloom, Dormant, Diploid, 10 buds, 4 branches, Rose cranberry self. (sdlg × Awesome Blossom)

The other 24 were registered as tetraploids.

It is probable that the registered diploid is a tetraploid and the registered tetraploid (above) is a diploid. I checked a few but not all of the other tetraploids registered by the hybridizer.

Daylily seedlings can be converted to tetrapliods right after they germinate.
