And I finally get to know the colour of the flowers on my African Violets. Just a few more days now. I uhm, know its not right, but how else are we to get starts from plants we cant afford? I was in an apartment when I got the start for this. The lady put it out on the adjoining, but divided porch deck thing, It looked so neglected, so I cleaned it up and took a cutting.

There are three total, 2 in 1 and the one by itself is going to bloom.

That's exciting ... and worth the wait, I'd say.

Yes, and i have a cutting that finally rooted and i transplanted it about 2 weeks ago. Now to wait another year. Lol.

One I got had purple with white stripes, many plant places overwater them and don't give enough light so they rot or get stunted unless you bring them home and properly care for them.

At one point I hybridized and got seedlings but they were very hard to keep alive.

Cool I like african violets but never really got into them.
