Those are indeed beautiful irises, Barbara. Here is one of my NoID's that looks a bit like your Coral Chalice.

Here is an iris I got for speaking to a garden club on soil. It was from Wal-Mart and knowing not to expect it to be true I did not tag it.

Here is the little NoID that made me fall in love with dwarfs....it is from a friend and I call it Beverly's Gift. It is a survivor.

Here are three that came up the wrong iris but still little SDB's

and here is one that I just call brick. Everyone stops and looks at this iris. it is slow to increase and bloom

You just have to love irises. They come in all sizes and shapes and colors. Some are fragrant, some seem to glow from within and some bloom all summer long. Some are hybridized by experts who labor for years to make an iris that I buy and pamper and some are hybridized by bees. All are beautiful.

Bonnie, Me thinks you should get a Coral Chalice for a test plant!
Barbara, I think you might want to test your number 25 with one called Jacob, one of Kerr's irises.
Your Tag 14 looks a lot like Porta Villa, you might want to try a test with that one. I have it if you want a rhizome to test it with.

Also I'm wondering if your Edith Wolford is id'd correctly. Looks very different then mine.

Maybe not -- hers has an orange beard (looks like) and mine has a gold beard. Gonna look for another picture of mine.

I agree that Edith Wolford probably is not. Here's a picture of mine:

Thank you all, this has been more help than going from website to website and trying to see if anything looks close.
I thought I bought Edith Wolford from a more reliable source (guess they were not very reliable)! Any guesses on what it could be? I think my winter project is going to be check all of my iris pictures against the database.
Tom, I would love a test rhizome.

Thumb of 2014-08-30/Phillipb2/5a4cd9 Bonnie, here is another picture of Coral Chalice
How do you change the thread title?

As everyone points out, it is real hard to ID NoID's from pictures; but it is easy to eliminate canidates and whittle down the possibilities to a select few which then you would buy "test" plants for.

I knew this was not "Queen in Calico", but could not pull up my picture of it. Love your picture Pam. VERY nice.

To all, I'm very thankful for all the responses.
I bought Anything Goes this year so hopefully it will bloom next spring to check if it is the same. I'll check Montevideo, I would think the "selfs" of peach, purples, or blues would be the hardest to identify. Tag 01 was the second to bloom in my garden just after Capricious. Thank you again,
Barbara
