I received this iris a couple of years ago. It was not a match. I do like plicatas and it grows well so it has a permanent place in the garden. Currently goes by NOID T.

Very heavily marked lavender with light lace.

Well, it's certainly lovely, whatever it is...

What do you think of "Morning Hymn"? It does not have the "spotting" on the falls, but otherwise looks spot on.

For comparison, here is my Morning Hymn:

Mine doesn't have the dark stripe down the center of the fall. In fact, it has a white stripe.

Morning Hymn is not a plicata, which Pam said her NOID is, and it certainly appears to be from the picture.

Using our database, this was the best match. I agree it was not the correct iris, but was a close choice.

How about "Poetry in Motion"?

It is close. Maybe soil conditions create more or less speckling on the Falls? How tall is yours Pam?

Thanks for the help so far everyone.

Greg it was labeled Terryton. Definitely not. There are no horns, just a small white spot at the end of the beard. Blooms in mid to late season and topped out around 37 inches.

Mary Ann That seems very close! The spot under the beard and color are nearly identical. This one seems to have finer lacing and not the same veining. It is an almost solid plicata, which I think is a little unusual.

I checked Poetry in Motion. Also some similarities, but that one has a lot of white ground. This has very little.

Possibly was a Nicholson iris.

Thanks again!
