Glad I found my way here and congrats Anjl on the Big Top 10! I started an idea for a minature 2 years ago and then never finished the project. I swear when I finally retire I am going to have a mini garden for my granddaughters to cherish. I was making it from harry lauder walking stick. As you can see I got as far at the levels, the door, wreath, bed and then never found what I wanted for a roof, was thinking moss and just kept forgetting to get some when at the cabin. Seeing what everyone else has been doing here is quite the inspiration! You folks are really good at the mini's.
And a belated Happy Birthday - you share it with my DH!

Candee! that is really adorable!! do you know what scale it is at? Its hard to tell from the pix. I think moss would be a grand way to go for the roof, maybe some Irish Moss?

How about a Sedum roof - there are some really mini ones that would work perfectly. I would use Sedum album 'Faro Form' and Sedum brevifolia. You could even put some teeny tiny Sempervivum arachnoideum, the spider web hens and chicks. Then the scale would be in keeping with your garden.

Make sure you put a picture on here - I love seeing how it works out. I was going to try using Sedum on a bird house, but first I have to build it. This has been one crazy summer...

Candee has been crocheting doilies. I suspect when the weather gets warm she will put down the crochet hook and pick up her thinking cap. This project needs to be finished. It's too adorable NOT to be.
