I am so into the idea of a miniature village all because I met Annmarie here in this forum! I spend a lot of time browsing this forum when I need a little calming break from working.

I am going to build a village and I will actually have it all spread out. I don't know what I will call it yet but something fun. I don't know if I will have gnomes or fairies ....maybe they are all on vacation or sleeping. We'll see. But here are some of the cottages I will be making. These were created for someone else and I will make mine out of all kinds of bricks and pavers. Annmarie suggested I show you and maybe in doing so I will be held accountable and get busy!

So now I need to decide: regular cottages or bird houses?

I like birds a lot!!! And have many. But the size thing is not right. My garden birds are too large for these. I think maybe a cottage and I can do birdhouse some other time.

This is a photo of my bungalow where I live and I decided instead of setting up a full village I would create the village under all the plantings. As though small people live all over my property...we just don't get to see them. It will be fun for children to hunt for the houses.

I live on Hartford Ave so decided to call them The Village of Hartford. Sounds English, doesn't it?

Becky I love that idea...and it adds to the mystery....everyone will take a closer look at the village to see if they can find the peoples! LOL

I am painting the Village Square clock today! And I found a large 16x16 paver that has sections stamped into it....for the Town Square. I am having too much fun!
