Wow, Lyle.

WOW! Lyle, once again your seedlings are truly amazing and I love every one of them! I think I'm going to have to use SPACECOAST IRISH ILLUMINATION more next year, as I really like the one seedling I got from it and your seedlings from it are simply fabulous! Well done, Lyle!

Both are very nice Pam, but of course I like the second one the best.

Lyle you always out do yourself, I like the two 12011 x Dancing Chevrons the best, all are really nice.
These are now my favorites, all the babies are now planted and should start blooming in April if we have a decent winter.

Very nice Lyle, the Johnny Cash X sdlg is gorgeous!

Seedlings look real good Fred....I've picked about 1/4 of the pods in the garden. Although I do like the cooler weather, I'm hoping the freezing weather will hold off for a while longer ( 44 degrees @ 6 this morning).

I hope we never have a winter like last year, they say we should cool a little by Monday and I am ready for that. I have reduced my seedling crop from 2500 to 1200 as I realize I can't take care of what I once could. For the first time in many years what I planted was 2/3 dips, I have now gone full circle. I have had a lot better success with dip UFs, and they are my favorite form of daylily.

I'm really starting to swing more toward the dips myself, Fred. I just love those really green throats and bright colors. But sometimes the scapes just don't hold up well in our heat, unfortunately. I love that your LILLIAN'S VAPOR TRAIL has strong scapes!

I hear you on not having another winter like the last one, last winter just went on and on with the cold and snow. Funny how our seedlings take us in different directions sometimes...the really great thing about daylilies is they have something for everyone be it color, size, ploidy, foliage type, form...
I've been working on a powerpoint program for a presentation this weekend and have been going through seedling images. These are a few of my favorites that bloomed, all are Sculpted forms....

James - Those 2 seedlings are awesome! I really love Dragonfly Dawn. The patterned genetics of that cultivar produce some amazing children. Waves of Joy is one of it's children. I hope all 4 of my DD x DD seedlings bloom next year and I can use the genetics to cross with some of my other daylilies. The possibilities are exciting!

This is the link to DD's registered and named children:

I have been wondering if the patterned genetics show up better when DD is the pod parent vs. the pollen parent. We shall see...

Lots of nice seedlings everyone!

Char, those are some nice examples of some of the types of daylilies. I had not heard of "cristate" before, but now know that it is the extra petal tissue that gives those their unique look.
