That's funny! I have exactly the same experience except in my case it is always the left. What size boots do you wear?

Do they usually leak in the same place, like the sole near the toes? If it's wear and not cracking, a little Gorilla tape or duct tape stuck over the spot that wears fastest might make them last lots longer.

I would guess that one of your legs (or ankles) is stronger than the other, and you push off harder with that foot than the other foot.

Or maybe one foot occasionally drags a little, and wears a hole much faster.

Ah, Rick. Ever the analyzer ! I must take care to walk more symmetrically as I slog through the manure in the pre-dawn dark. Unless, of course, we can work out a boot swap...

Yeah, I expect that, if I'm ever walking along and a tiger jumps out at me, I'll be analyzing why the tiger was lurking THERE and what it means that he jumped out RIGHT THEN.

I think I've read things about deducing personality types from wear patterns on shoe-soles. Wear near the toe meant a go-getter who leans forward and leaps into action. Maybe heel-wear meant a heel-dragger.

I bet pedologists have an 'ology for that ... (no, "pedology" is soil science. Not pediatric ... Pedophile is wrong ... "podiatry"?? "Podiatry"??? What kind of a word is PODIATRY?!?)

I wonder why the first two syllables are the same in "analyzing" and "anal-retentive". They aren't ANYTHING like each other!

Confused

Well if it were always the same spot on the boot that developed a leak, I'd think it had more to do with my walking patterns. However, they will spring a leak in many ramdom places. I have a hired hand help me, and I keep a pair of boots for him, same kind of boots, same problem with leaks in the same boot. Pork Pal, I wear size 11. Hilarious! But I stopped saving the other boot long ago. Rick the linguist! Whistling

I love chickens and would love to have a small flock of layers -- but what do you all do for a "chick sitter" in the event of going on vacation or whatever?? (somehow I doubt that I would be able to leave them at the kennel with the dogs...)

Once you have animals, going away for a few days becomes much more complicated. If you have friends who would be reliable to take care of them in trade for the eggs, it might work.

Hilarious! Actually, that wouldn't really bother me... but DH seems to feel the need to see other sights every now and then! (On the other hand, he wasn't very happy when I pushed the idea of taking the 2 big collies from a relative that could no longer keep them -- him: "so, if I want go to Florida for a month or two in the winter, you're going to stay home with the dogs?" me: "I guess so." him: "Well, maybe we'll just go for a week then." And, guess who is now the most attached to them Rolling my eyes. )

He's cute, I think, but so different, the other roosters want to kill him, so one of them lives alone in a cage, the other has to live with 30 hens. Poor rooster.
