Thread OP

I spotted this beastie on my car (in Loveland CO). I would guess a parasite wasp -- any more knowledgeable ideas? Thanks in advance for any help. MrG

Welcome!

It's an ant, possibly a queen but males also have wings when they swarm.

I can't say which species it is, there will be many but this one has a very small head.

That species isn't found in Colorado, you can search by region on Antweb ..
