I missed the changing of the leaves.
And I'm always preferring temps in the f 60s to the f 80s or the f teens.

Wonder how many American members will think I just cussed?

Glen, what an awful thing to wish for. I might go along with the winter one but not fall, lol. How could anyone not want beautiful leaves to jump in and roast wieners in!! The mere thought of not having fall brings tears to my eyes. If you ever run for office, I will not vote for you Thumbs down Thumbs down

Karen, I have seen pictures of those coloured leaves. They do look interesting but people look like clothe horses and dreary with forced smiles and weary of limb.

Good morning, Gleni.

Some of us get energized when the heat moves out.
Not many Pittsburghers (Pittsburghers are generally not satisfied with the weather unless they're in the Carribean somewhere), but SOME people, SOME places.

Rolling on the floor laughing Spoken like someone who has always lived where it is warm, Glen! What's not to like about wearing 4 or 5 layers of warm clothes and 25 pounds of footwear just to go out to the mailbox?? How sad that you never get to build a snowman! (or spend 5 hours snow-blowing the driveway...) Big Grin

I'll send you some colored leaves (and later on some snow balls) if you'll send me a kangaroo!!

My work schedule happily coincides with gardening season. I teach, so I am off from the end of May through the beginning of September which is about all the gardening season there is here in WI. Once school starts I have very little time in the garden.

I do start lots of plants from seed, starting in February. This year close to 2000, mostly annuals and vegetables under lights. I think less next year - that was a lot of watering to keep up with!

Geof, that IS a perfect work schedule! And 2000 plants is a lot... but it's so easy to get carried away with the seed starting, as I well know. Pretty easy to give plants away, too -- but then people start expecting them and complain if they have problems with them; my slogan for plants that I give away is "satisfaction guaranteed or double your money back!" (sometimes I even offer them triple their money back Hilarious! )

Good morning Critter! I am off to the organic farm to see what goodies they have.

I will probably leave in a huff again when I see that none of their produce is grown on the island. They have beautiful red soils from which the local authority, Redland, get its name.

I just love the "grilling" picture Sandy. We really are a tough bunch aren't we, lol. We grill out all winter, and Critter, I am one of those people who comes to life when it's cooler. I hardly ever wear a coat, but always have one in the car just in case. People think I am nuts, but I am always tooooo warm. Last year did get a little long and I am afraid they are predicting the same or worse for this year. Lots of our friends go south for the winter months, but I like the creature comforts of home!! I wouldn't get to bake then and I would become a hard to live with person!!

Oh Glen, that is such a pretty flower!!! That's your advantage over those of us in snow country!!! There are pros and cons for all of us, and it's fun hearing about how we all live in our different habitats.
