Maybe I'm missing something...but I've noticed this before. When I looked at the Iris 'Just Crazy' it comes up with my ID saying owned...like I not longer have it, but in my plant list I checked and it is correctly listed as 'own' (current tense). Can you help me understand why this happens?

If you put it into a sentence, it makes more sense: The iris 'Just Crazy' is owned by Moiris, and is wanted by FrillyLily. When you open your own personal list, it will show as "Have" or "Used to Have" to differentiate a plant you tried once (or more times) but for some reason it failed for you. I usually add a personal comment to remind myself why it failed.

What I'm trying to say....let me try again, is that I have a plant (the iris Just Crazy, for example) listed in my Plant List as owned. But when I go into the database listing for Just Crazy and click on the line at the top (I think it says people who own this plant), then it shows that Moiris (me) 'owned' this plant...which makes it look like I have lost the plant, which I have not. It should be listed in the database that is visible to others as 'own' indicating that I currently have this plant. It is correct when I access it on my plantlist, but incorrect when I access it though the plant name in the database.

Bonehead is correct. Did you read her explanation? You own Just Crazy and it therefore is "owned" by you. You're reading it as the past tense, but that's not how it's meant.

I did understand your point. It seems like just a matter of semantics to me, but perhaps it would be more clear to change 'owned' to 'own' and 'wanted' to 'want' to clarify that the status is ongoing. My guess is either Dave or one of the admins will jump in soon, and may have an explanation/clarification for you. Have patience.

Zuzu and Bonehead and right. Owned can mean two things depending on the context and in this case the context is clear that it is meaning the present tense.

Ok... I get it now! Sorry I didn't understand what you meant Bonehead. Smiling
