Seen as a hedge all over Maui, the color variegaton was gorgeous! No flowers they I could see (this time of year anyway ) some leaves almost as large as my hand.

Thanks, Jay. That was quick! It looked just like a hybiscus. But the shrubs, being in fertile soil and perfect weather were 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide. But then a lot of things grow to huge sizes in Hawaii!
