I know this may be impossible, given the number of cultivars, but can you point me at some possibilities? My neighbor has this and does not know the name. It really is bright and catches the eye from a block away. He's sharing it with me. Yay!

Can you find out if it is Dor,EV,Semi-EV, re-bloom, height, bloom size, early, mid, late bloom etc. that could help a lot? No guess right off.

I should have included that info. Sorry!

Mid blooming, blooms are 5"-6", dormant and about 24" tall. It increases slowly but that might be his haphazard approach to weeding and such. The color is mind-blowing orange with a tiny hint of pink along the midrib and edges. Slightly ruffled. No rebloom that I've seen but he's only had it 3 years.

The pic was taken on a cloudy day.

Very close!

My neighbor was given this. I may have to keep pestering him to ask them if they know. He keeps forgetting to do so. Lol

I looked at 'Mauna Loa' it was the only one in the data base with a picture that looked close and fit the other parts of the description and had a picture when I searched for orange daylilies with the other specs thrown in .

I agree with you. I will still ask him again and come back with an answer, yes or no.

Years ago I had an orange with pink on the midribs called Simply Pretty. That's what it reminds me of. Mine never grew to the 32" listed. It was always around 24 to 25".

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Some very good possibilities here.

Any time I get to see pretty daylilies is helpful. Thank You!
