I noticed this spider late morning outside in a plastic bin. It is an inch and a half in diameter counting legs.

There's far too many spiders to say which species it is for sure, you would often need a specimen to determine it by shape of the 'palps' in a male which this is, or the 'epigynum' of the female unless it has unique features.

It could be in the Family Amaurobiidae ..

Thank you Janet super slueth
I was trying to research this on my own and just got overwhelmed. So those aren't "eyes" on his pedipalps ?

You're welcome Toni. The boxing gloves are used by the male during reproduction, they can split which often leads to death.
