Unless you click on the smaller photo and see the full, large picture, you can't appreciate the intense, shimmering color this one has picked up as the days get cooler. It looks exactly like a rich watered silk. Is there any way Sequim could help get to the bottom of its parentage? Or to getting it in line for consideration for recognition and/or naming? It seems to me it is far too beautiful to be dismissed as a NoID...

The photograph Zaubergarten just contributed of Sempervivum 'Ungeheuer'* has exactly the same "watered silk" look this semp is showing as the center darkens with cooler nights..

'Ungeheuer' does have some similarity of color, and very pretty, but looks very different over all to me.
Love you 'Atroviolaceum'. Let me know how it it doing come spring of 2015. The watermarks on yours are wonderful.
